June Callan Professional Supervision

June is a Registered Nurse and has held a variety of Senior positions such as Nurse Educator, Charge Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist.  While working in a multidisciplinary team it became apparent that the psychologists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists who received clinical supervision as part of their registration and practice were feeling a lot of benefit from their sessions.  June trained through the Te Whatu Ora Supervision Programme and completed a Certificate in Supervision Skills for Health and Social Service Professionals through New Zealand Coaching and Mentoring.  June is also a provider to the New Zealand College of Nurses.  Sessions are available face to face, via Zoom or by telephone.

What happens in a Professional Supervision session?

Typically, a session takes between 45minutes and an hour.  The client brings an issue that is bothering them, or they are stuck on how to move forward with it.  The Supervisor can support the client through reflection and re-framing to reach their own solution.

How often should I be having Professional Supervision?

That can be discussed at your first meeting. Typically Supervision takes place monthly.

    CLIENT COMMENTS

    I have been receiving clinical  supervision from June for approximately 9 mths. Due to geographical distance, supervision has been undertaken virtually.

    During our sessions June has:
